Telephoto lens 400mm Cambron f.6 nikon F mount DSLR digital photography photo

You are bidding on a vintage Cambron 400mm telephoto lens in good condition. this is a very cool vintage 35mm telephoto lens that has been adapted with a Nikon F mount to fit modern dSLR cameras. It is Camberon made in japan no. 820603. It has multi coated lens with f.6 aperture. As stated, it originally had threaded T-mount with P/K mount and It was converted to a nikon F mount with no optics. I have used this on a D3300 and a D5100 with very good success. It will focus just a hair past infinity on the nikons so it was easy to dial back slightly on the focus and I have been able to get some amazingly clear pictures at 600-700 yards or so.
The last photo of the dear in the field is approx. 700 yards away and it was taken on a nikon D3000 at 10mp wow!!! These generation 3 multi coated optics made in japan are pretty decent for an old 35mm lens. They seem slightly sharper and just a little more detail than its earlier korean type 2 coated glass. there is also some sort of a crop factor when installing on dSLR cameras w/ cropped sensor, so I'm not really sure what the exact focal range is maybe looks more like 450mm. I'm guessing but I was very happy with the results. There is an aperture choke ring that works in junction with aperture setting. It is fairly long when installed on camera ( approx. 10 inches) but it is fairly thin and lightweight and it balances really nice in your hand when installed. You will need to use this in manual mode on your nikon because it will not communicate with the cameras electronics(non AI)You will need to adjust ISO and shutter to get the best shots. It has a tri-pod mount installed and comes with end caps. It has been used some but has been well taken care of. it would be nice for birds, wildlife, sports or for distant viewing subjects.
