The Lens: S/N 401215
This lens was CLAd by Youxin Ye in October of 2019. This is his post CLA description: “
We have your lens done. Elmar 35/3.5 lens - CLA'd, cleaned and lubricated both aperture and focus rings. Cleaned each element in the lens removed haze inside. Lens is clean and clear now consider its age. Tested the lens with digital M body, lens is in focus and produce good images.
This is a pre-war uncoated lens. The glass is clean with some ust visible under an LED flashlight. I can find no surface scratches or cleaning marks. There is no sign of haze, fogging or fungus. I cannot detect any optical issues.
The body is in goodl condition with some minor damage to the knurled ridge (check photographs at the aperture 4,5 mark). It has no impact on use or images. The 36mm clamp-on filters and hoods itis designed to work with all work fine with it. The markings are all complete and as easy to read today as when the lens was new.
The focus ring moves easily and the infinity lock works easily.
The aperture ring works well. The ten blades are clean and dry.
The front lens cap is embossed ‘Leica’ but I don’t believe it is real, most likely a Chinese copy.
About me:
My goal is to have a sale that both parties will be satisfied with. This will be much easier to achieve if you read, understand and agree with the following BEFORE you bid:
-I am not a camera shop, an Ebay shop, or in any way in business to sell lenses or anything else. I am simply an amateur photographer who likes to try old classic lenses and pass them on again once I determine that they aren’t being used any more. As such I don’t have any of the resources that an established retailer would have to manage and track sales. Because of this I need to set out these guidelines for my sales.
-Returns: I do the best to be honest and complete in my product descriptions. However, I am human and have been known to make mistakes in the past (not many, but there you go). If you purchase a lens from me and discover that there is a fault that I didn’t identify, just let me know and I will accept a return. These are the only conditions where I will accept a return. I will not negotiate for a partial refund.
-Shipment: I ship to any address in the United States through insured Priority Mail, and tracking numbers are provided. I will only ship to an address outside the US through Ebay’s Global Shipping Program, and I do not ship to areas that the Global Shipping Program doesn’t cover. Don’t waste your time asking, the answer will be no. There is both good and bad about using the Global Shipping Program. The good is that it is incredibly reliable. In all my years of shipping through it there has only been one package that was not delivered, and Ebay promptly refunded the buyer his full cost. The bad is that depending on a number of factors it can be very expensive. FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, if you do not have an address within the US to ship this lens to I urge you to become familiar with the terms of Ebay’s Global Shipping Program before you bid on this lens. BY PLACING A BID ON THIS LENS YOU CERTIFY THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF AND ACCEPT THESE STATED SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS. I do not receive any of the GSP charge and I will not cancel a sale simply because the GSP cost is too high.
Please feel free to check out my 100% positive seller rating.
