This is an anamorphic adapter made by Keihan in Japan. It is an unusual lens. Very compact for an older 35mm lens. Similar diameter and a bit longer than the Iscos, but heavier. Originally intended for use with a movie projector lens it may be used to create widescreen images and video.
With an anamorphic adapter, it is very important that the front and rear elements are correctly aligned relative to each other. This can be checked by checking the focus at minimum distance with the taking lens wide open.
The adapter has been tested on a camera and works as it should. Focus has been checked with the taking lens wide open down to 15 ft from the lens. The sample photo of the test pattern was taken with this adapter. It was deliberately taken at 45 degrees to show both horizontal and vertical focus. It was taken at 15ft with the lens for sale in this listing using an Olympus EM5 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8. It has not been expanded.
The adapter is focused by turning the smooth black part at the front of the lens. The locking ring that goes in the very front can be removed as necessary.
Infinity focus - Yes, no issues.
Despite the fungus, it works very well. The two pairs were taken wide open and f/4. The long distance wide open shot was beyond the shutter speed of the camera so it is overexposed. The minimum focus distance is about 15 ft. The lens has a blue flare.
One particular feature is the very short focus throw. It only requires the front of the lens to be rotated by about 70 degrees, compared to 270 with most lenses.
The body diameter is about 72mm.

CONDITION
This is a used adapter in good cosmetic condition. There are various marks on the body. N
othing that affects performance or operation.
The front glass has various cleaning marks. The rear looks OK with just a few marks.
Inside there is fungus, see photos. I expect it can be cleaned, you just have to figure out how to take it apart. Otherwise minor dust.
