Here we have:
The classic, famous, killer-reknowned Contax zoom T* lens from Carl Zeiss. It's the 35-70mm f3.4 and any setting should equal or surpass fixed focal length lenses. I've used one for years for excellent images, and I especially like it for aerial photography. This one is an extra one I purchased with other equipment. The lens glasses are clear and clean to the eye. I do see a teeny small 'brush' on the coating right at the apex of the front lens that shouldn't affect things. I see where the name ring had two small holes drilled to remove the ring (for unknown reason). The zooming has a few light but smooth resistance spots -- not clanky/crunchy spots). Focusing is smooth throughout range. Aperture ring opens/closes the oil-free aperture blades. The click-stops have been removed, so the ring turns smoothly and freely from f3.4 to f22. Perhaps the previous photographer had the clicks removed for smooth, click-free cine - video fade ins and outs. So if you're a videographer, this is a plus. Generic rear cap included. Will look for 67mm front cap. When I grip it and shake it, axially and radially, there are no knocks or clunks inside. All this being said (and you can ask for more) being a used lens with some servicing evident (not by me), I must sell is as is, as described by me - not eBay, as shown, no returns. Questions? Ask!
