Ceramic PIE Baking SERVING Dish 10.25 ins HOME SENTIMENT ~ Unbranded

Description

This ceramic pie plate or serving dish has no maker's mark or label, so this may be either a commercially created piece or a home job. It has a white interior with a touching sentiment about home in red. The rope rim, rope base, and curled leaf "handles" are in a dark olive green. The sides in a creamy ivory - almost a very light yellow - have embossed acorns, berries, and vines. It is 10 1/4" in diameter - add 1" for each handle. The rim is 2 3/8" high. It is obviously handpainted,  so hand washing is recommended. It is hefty, just over 3 lbs. (Because of its weight, it may ship via FedEx,  depending on how far it has to travel. )
There are a few areas in the well of the plate where there are semi flea bites or minute specks that were caught under the glaze. Check out the photos - they're inconsequential. No marks indicating actual use.  No chips, no cracks. It is nice and shiny.
Even with the sentiment covered with food, it will look beautiful on any table. And when not in use, it will make a nice display piece as well...  the sentiment says it all!
