Traditional Ethiopian colorful  Handmade basket by Ethiopian women.The knowledge and expertise passes from mother to daughter and grany to grandaughter generation after generation.The baskets has many household uses such as for all kind of sweets as you can see in the pictures.Because the basket weaving work is manual (handmade)from begining to the end the working time can take many hours and days depending on the size and color design  of the basket.The women who made this art work are new immigrants from Ethiopia to Israel and most of them old ages.Unfortunately the new generation have no interest in that traditional art so that within a few years (when the older generation disappears) will disappear right along with this beautiful art.
