Antique Bisque Porcelain Baby Girl Doll 1920's or older 12.5" in length from head to toe.
I don't know the material - she feels made of something easily breakable that would shatter if she were dropped on pavement. Glazed bisque (porcelain) or composition?
I can see some spots where the flesh-colored paint is off and there is white underneath. There appears to be brown under the white, unless that is from age. Without the box and bubble wrap the doll itself weighs 9.15 ounces.
She was given to a baby in 1923 - if she was not new then and passed down she would be older than 1923.
The arms are attached with white bands that must have once been stretchy, you can see them inside the arm holes. The legs, which are no longer connected, have metal hooks and also must have been attached that way as well. The face is beautiful with rosy cheeks and dimples. There is blond molded hair and also spots where actual hair must have been glued on at the top and a bit of blonde hair is still remaining.
I don't see any brand name markings.
