1969 Amerada Hess Tanker Truck Clone Placeholder w/ Working Taillights - No Box

For your consideration today is a
clone
of a 1969 Amerada Hess Tanker Truck for sale.
This is not an original, authentic 1969 Amerada Hess Truck
. This truck seems to have been designed as a placeholder for an original 1969 Amerada Hess Truck. The truck itself is a 1972 Hess Truck with reproduction decals and a 1968 battery cover (the shade of green is slightly different than that of the truck).
Overall this truck is in nice presentable shape. I think there are a few reproduction chrome parts on the truck, including both mirrors, the air and oil breathers, the ladder, and the chrome nozzle. I believe the other chrome pieces are original to the truck but please look at the photos closely. The decals are all in nice shape with minimal staining and discoloration. The Amerada Hess decals are reproductions that were added to the truck after-the-fact, whereas the GASOLINE and FUEL OILS logos are original. The cab decals were removed to match a true Amerada truck, and there is some residual scratching on the cab from this process. Besides some light dirt and dust here and there, this is still a very nice piece that’ll make a great placeholder fantasy piece in a collection.
The battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion and the taillights are functioning properly as pictured. I was unable to get the headlights to work at this time.
